We ran our first Fiddle and Fix workshop on 18th July in the ReMode MakespaceWith the help of our facilitator we identified the spare part that was needed to fix a lawn mower (available online for just £5); helped clean parts of a digital camera that had suffered from a juice spill ; and worked out that a digital radio with a dodgy signal could work well as an FM radio.
We’ll be running more of these workshops in the future – teaching basic repair techniques and helping to assess whether seemingly broken household items can be repaired or revived – and saved from landfill!
