Sewing club – Come along to a relaxed four weeks of Mending and making with Paige Barrett.  Learn about sustainable traditional mending methods while meeting people, chatting and sipping tea in our warm workshop space. You can ask Paige to teach you any sewing techniques from putting a zip in an item of clothing to taking up a hem on your new pair of trousers. If you don’t have anything that needs fixing, come and upcycle a garment that will be part of our summer showcase. Paige will guide you about the best ways of upcycling to renew your old clothes into a fashion or costume piece.

These sessions are a space to learn how to sew or more sewing techniques, upcycle a garment, mend a jumper or start a new projects with our experienced sewing facilitators who will give advice on the best way to make or mend an item of clothing. The clothing the participants make will be exhibited in our final showcase in the summer along with the garments and films made from the other workshops.
