Thursday 10th October
Participants learn about zines and make their own mini-zines – a little bit about what zines are for and what they can do, where participants are taught to make A4 fold-out zines during the workshop.
Week2: Research
Thursday 17th October
Going to the mill, learning about paisley’s protest history and heritage
Week 3: Writing about you and your work
Thursday 24th October
Participants learn how to write about their work and experiences in different forms – exhibit descriptions, mini-essays, fiction, poetry. This should prepare participants for writing about the work they’ll do in the rest of the series.
Weeks 4, 5, 6, 7: Making and Documenting
Thursdays 31st October & 7th, 14th, 21st November
Participants research, make, create and document content for the zine.
Week 8: Collaging and Collating
Thursday 28st November
Participants will learn about collaging, visually displaying their work, and graphic design. This will also be a space to finish off aspects of any projects they wish to be included.
Tickets are free for 11 – 25 year olds. There are x8 places for participants 11-25 years old.
Signing up allows you to take part in all 8 sessions – please let us know if you cannot make any of the dates.
