Join us for a day’s workshop to learn the art of cyanotyope printing.
Cyanotype is a Victorian photographic printing process – traditionally the light sensitive processes were used to create ‘blueprints’.
In this workshop we’ll be using leaves and flowers to create detailed negative images which print beautifully on to natural fabrics.
Each participant will go home with at least two hand printed items which can be remade into bags, scarves, cushions or integrated into garments.
The workshop is led by artist and ReMode’s Creative Director Gillian Steel and takes places at our shop and workshop space on Paisley High Street. All materials, plus tea, coffee and a simple lunch of bread and vegan soup are included in the ticket price.
Please bring a pair of rubber gloves and either an apron or wear old clothes in case of dye spills.
Sunday 5th April. 10.30am – 4pm. ReMode, 43b High Street, Paisley PA1 2AH
