Experimental Threads workshops
Thursdays 6.30pm – 8.30pm from 22nd August – 26th September
Learn to weave new life from pre-loved garments and get creative with fibre fun! From natural fibre dying and eco-printing to repurposing textiles into yarns and experimental weaving, participants are invited to get creative with ReMode.
No experience is required for this series of fun hands-on workshops with textile artist Keng Keng Watt. Join us for the full block to create something new each week and build on your skills, or drop in to the session of your choice.
Week 1 – Thursday 22nd August: Natural fibre dying
Week 2 – Thursday 29th August: Eco-printing and T-shirt yarns
Week 3 – Thursday 5th September: Weaving techniques
Week 4 – Thursday 12th September: Yarns and weaving
Week 5 – Thursday 19th September: Fabric to fashion
Week 6 – Thursday 26th September: Finishing
Tickets are free for 11 – 25 year olds. There are x8 places for participants 11-25 years old.
