Make & Mend session
Wednesday 25th September 2024, 5pm – 7pm
Join us to Make & Mend! Have a hole that needs mended? Something to patch? Buttons to replace? A stain to embroider over? A sewing project to finish? Or simply want to learn basic hand sewing and machine sewing skills? Join our Wednesday session 5pm – 7pm at the ReMode Workspace where you will find all the assistance, fixings, fastenings, fabrics, patches, threads and machines needed to fix your garments, learn and practice your sewing skills.
If you are a beginner with no experience, our textiles facilitator and youth support worker Liberty can assist you to learn basic sewing and mending skills for your garment. A relaxed and informal session we have space for x8 participants each week. Over 25 and looking to get involved? Join in as a volunteer to share your skills (even if it’s just tidying up!) sew along and make use of the workspace facilities.
