What?

ReMode are working with the Neverending Glen to create a commissioned installation for their arts trail at Kelburn Garden Party 2023, and we need your help!

During this 6-week block of workshops you will work as a team with other participants to design and fabricate a textile work to be hung up in the trees in the Glen by Kelburn Castle. Read more about the Neverending Glen here: (https://www.kelburngardenparty.com/whats-on/the-neverending-glen/)

The work will take inspiration from the storytelling seen in traditional Scottish tapestries, to visually communicate a story of our relationship with clothing. The work must connect with the Neverending Glen’s theme Metamorphosis, and keep in line with ReMode’s values and mission to inspire community action against the devastating environmental effects of the fashion and textile industries.

Led by creative Paige Barrett, you will be taught hand and machine sewing techniques to create the work, using discarded materials, garments and other textile waste.

This project is open to people of all ages. If you have any questions, please contact paige@remodeyouth.org

Places are free but booking is essential to secure your place due to limited capacity. Please only book if you are able to commit to the full block of workshops

Public transport costs for getting to the workshops can be reimbursed on the day, and refreshments will be provided.
