On Saturday 14th of March 2020 Trash to Treasure, are organising a charity event in aid of The Coats Memorial Preservation Trust. The event is called “The Big Spring Clean” and will take place in the Coats Paisley building. (High Street, Paisley, PA1 2BA)
As part of The Big Spring Clean we will have a film on throughout the event and an information stall about the many ways you can get involved with ReMode! We will also be running a clothes mending workshop and a t-shirt printing workshop – either bring along a t-shirt or buy one from our Paisley shop for £1!
They will have stalls selling second-hand clothing and other goods. This is to promote sustainability and encourage upcycled fashion.
Pitch is £15.
Set up for stall holders starts at 10 am and tables need to be ready by 11 am when the doors open for public.
Tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded. Management reserve the right to refuse a sale, or to refuse entry after a sale at their discretion.
What you can sell:
- Good quality, clean clothing and shoes (including vintage and retro items)
- Bags and accessories
- Knitted items and blankets
- Toys and games
- Wedding dresses and accessories
- Prom dresses
What you can’t sell:
- Anything broken, dirty, incomplete or unsafe
- Medical equipment
- Large items (including but not limited to prams, furniture and appliances)
- Underwear or swimming wear
- New items only bought to be resold, as we are trying to promote recycling and upcycling things you already own
- Food and beverages
Price your stock carefully, our event is aimed at the affordable market and you don’t want to overprice your stall. If it’s your first fair you could price accordingly but bring some sale cards or rail tags along, if certain items are sticking you can then quickly reduce rails or add offers to entice customers.
Dressing your stall can make all the difference, bring with you anything you think may stand out from the crowd. Bring fabric to cover your table, signs to let people know your price points and if you do have any small items then a bargain bin is always welcome.
