IMPORTANT UPDATE: This event has been postponed, information on the new date to come. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact our volunteer coordinator Paige for more info, at paige@remodeyouth.org
Do you love second-hand style? Interested in learning how to sew? Want to make a difference in your local community? From joining our fashion upcycling team, to organising and helping out at events, to assisting on photoshoots and with telling our story on our social media, there are all sorts of ways to get involved with ReMode. Volunteers contribute to our work of promoting sustainable clothing consumption within Renfrewshire.
We are hosting a drop-in event at our studio space in Paisley on Saturday the 12th of August 1pm-4pm, so come along and meet our staff and volunteers, have a go on a sewing machine, and learn how you can get involved in our volunteering programme!
There will also be an online event from 11:30am-12:30pm on the same day for those who wish to join us remotely! Email our volunteer coordinator Paige at paige@remodeyouth.org to register your interest in attending and they will get back to you with a link to the online event, or instructions for getting to our studio for the drop-in session!
We are currently looking to recruit across three main volunteer teams – Maker volunteers, Digital volunteers and Events volunteers. All of our volunteer roles are flexible, and training and support is provided, so if you are aged 16 or over and want to contribute to a more sustainable future, why not join us at ReMode? Free parking is available, refreshments provided, everyone is welcome!
Please note that our studio is on the second floor and is only accessible by stairs, however we offer regular weekly volunteer sessions in ground floor accessible spaces and remote opportunities are also available. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions about accessibility and volunteering, or if you are interested in volunteering but cannot make the open day!
