Description

As part of Scotland’s Mental Health Arts Festival 2025, ReMode presents: The Repair Retreat on Saturday 8th November 11-2pm .

Join us at ReMode’s studio for a calming, hands-on Repair Retreat! A relaxing space to slow down, reconnect, and breathe new life into your clothes. Through mindful mending, we invite you to reflect, repair, and restore — both garments and your own sense of wellbeing. Bring along your old, loved clothes and learn simple repair techniques in a welcoming, creative environment. Leave with a renewed piece of clothing, a lighter mind, and a deeper appreciation for the stories our clothes carry.

All ages welcome!

Niki Taylor is our expert tutor and facilitator for this workshop. An experienced educator, designer, and fashion activist, Niki brings a wealth of knowledge from across the fashion industry.

She began her career as a fashion and shoe designer, working with several high street labels and brands, before launching her own label Olanic.

In 2014, following the Rana Plaza disaster, Niki co-founded Fashion Revolution Scotland, where she served as country coordinator and worked within the policy team to lobby for greater support of Scottish textiles. In recognition of her dedication to sustainable fashion, Niki was awarded an MBE in 2023 for her services to promoting sustainability in the Scottish fashion industry.
