ReVolution ReMode was a live promenade performance, exhibition and film screening to showcase the work of ReMode during Fashion Revolution Week 2022, to celebrate the work of our young participants, volunteers and guest designers.
Our showcase took place at PACE Theatre in Paisley with 3 performances throughout the day at 1pm, 3pm and 5pm.
What the audience said
“brilliant, totally inspiring and I’m so proud of everyone that was actually part of it.”
“it fills me with passion and I love these kinds of things and I’ll definitely be back”
“There was so much energy and hard work when all went into all of the garments, there was some really beautiful pieces in there”
“it was just fabulous coming out of the sunshine into color and life and movement and fabulous clothes”
“it’s great seeing something like this happening in paisley people of all ages, it’s really brought the city to life”
“the garments and the models just had this vibrancy where it made you want to wear the garment”
Our performers took part in weekly rehearsals, led by choreographer Jane Simpson, in the run up to the event. Rehearsals took place at the Lagoon Leisure Centre before a final full dress rehearsal in PACE Theatre.
It was an early start for everyone, kicking off with hair and make-up at 8.30am, but everyone was in good spirits and excited for the day ahead.
Behind the scenes snippets
Our team was closely involved in learning and sharing the labours involved in making clothes: printing onto discards rather than buying new fabrics, designing our own shapes, constructing and embellishing with hand stitched embroideries.
